Mid-Atlantic, 19th century, pine, six board dovetailed case, the lid with applied moldings and iron strap hinges, the case with an allover deep red painted field highlighted by mustard and lighter red reserves to the top, sides, and front, the front centered with initials "AZ" and dated "1823", flush base.
