Victorian Ajouré Silver Card Case & Prayer Book Cover

The card case with a foliated arabesque enclosing puttis, animals and shield form cartouches (one monogrammed "JPM"), both with London hallmarks, one side dated 1886 and the opposite dated 1889, "WC" maker's mark (4 x 2.75 x 1 in.; 4.25 troy oz.); the prayer cover with British import marks and 1897 date letter, sponsor's mark for William Moering (4.25 x 2.75 in.; 4.8 troy oz.).
