19th century, figured walnut with pine backboard, six-board dove-tailed case, hinged lid with applied carved molding and applied iron tulips to rear hinge area, case front with deep Gothic motif flanking a polychrome painted and relief carved shield beneath decorative brass over copper screen, raised on short bracket feet.

13 x 18 x 10.5 in.

Splitting to top; replaced hinges; left side of brass element missing; loss to front rt. foot; rear feet with .25 inch tip.
