Susanne Vertel studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, Northwestern University, UC Berkley, the California College of Arts & Crafts and at the Scottsdale Artists' School. She has exhibited extensively throughout the United States and is the recipient of numerous awards. Most recently, she was commissioned by the National Park Service for a life-size bronze portrait of the first gamekeeper at Yellowstone Park, Harry Yount.
