Probably Newport, RI, circa 1800, mahogany, mahogany veneer, light and dark wood inlays, white pine secondary, demilune form, hinged lid with rear swing gate leg, top edge with banded veneer and double line string inlay, square tapered legs with icicle and sting inlays surmounted with inlaid four-part bookends.

28.5 x 35.75 x 17.5 in.

Fair estate condition; interior lid with marring; missing interior hidden drawer to left side; three inch veneer loss to left side; shrinkage crack to front veneer panel; four inch veneer loss to right lower edge at skirt.
