Edo period, circa 1830-1832, being view number thirty-two entitled Kajikazawa in Kai Province (Koshu Kajikazawa) from the famous series by Hokusai, The Thirty Six Views of Mount Fuji; depicts a fisherman and child seated on a rock casting a net into the swollen river, a scene of everyday life in old Japan depicted with the celebrated Mount Fuji as the stunning background; color and ink on paper.

Similar color impression to one in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection.

Good condition; color very good with some slight fading; loss to the top left and right corners, more so to the left side; very minor foxing and wear, mostly limited to the central portion of the print under the fishing lines and top right side of the wave and a few inches further up.
