During his long career in the arts Sherman Raveson was a painter, stage designer for Broadway productions, author, art editor and art director for many leading publications including "Vanity Fair" and "Life." He attended Cumberland University in Tennessee and the Art Student's League in New York. He is buried in Macon County, NC.
