The front of the carved oak cabinet carries a manufacturer's plate with serial #12218; the cabinet's left side has a distributor's plate for Sherman, Clay & Co., San Francisco; the rear-mounted horn with its original color decal.

Normal wear and paint loss to the arm; very light isolated areas of oxidation; the crank possibly a replacement. Working and overall in very fine condition.
