Mid-19th century, a two-part form of a desk on frame, designed to easily accompany a gentleman on his journeys, rosewood veneers with bird's eye maple interior veneers, upper case features three side-by-side drawers over a pull-out fall front with leather writing surface. The base has a long drawer with implement divisions to the right side, brass lock marked "Paris," carved cabriole legs.
