Oval form with applied cherry blossom branches in the Japanese taste, allover gilding to matte and brushed surface, period engraving to one side reads "Sebastian / From / Bertha / Christmas 1872," the screw top engraved "S.B.S," with circa 1854-1869 Tiffany & Co. hallmark, pattern number 2548, further marked "Union Square."
