North Carolina Paint Decorated Diminutive Blanket Chest

Attributed to Moore County, early 19th century, yellow pine, having a six board dovetailed case construction, original red and black paint decoration, hinged lid with applied edge, interior with till to the right side, molded base with dovetailed bracket feet.

Paint wear and loss to top; top edge, lower edge and feet; shrinkage cracks to front face board; break and repair to original left rear foot.
