Late 1861 - early 1862, the brass guard stamped MEMPHIS / NOVELTY WORKS/ THOS LEECH & CO, wire-bound leather grip, unstopped single fuller blade, all-iron scabbard lacking the customary applied brass ring mounts and throat.
