Japanese Bronze Figure of A Pheasant

Meiji period (1868-1912), signed Matsumitsu, the golden bird standing with raised wings and abundant tail feathers, it is patinated with speckled black and gilt plumage and reddish chest feathers, on a lacquered wooden base decorated with carved bamboo.

Good condition; repair to both feet at joint; the base with scratches; loss and wear from age.
