Called La Hopper Française by French art critics, Couloumy graduated from l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in 1987. In 2007 she was appointed the rank of Chevalier by the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Exhibiting in Paris, London and New York, her solo exhibitions frequently sell-out and there is often a long waiting list for new works.
