19th century, blue overglaze painting of foo lions amid swirling clouds, missing its lid, comes with a carved wooden base.

H: 14.75 in.

From the collection of a gentleman who worked for the state department starting in the late 1950s and later for the United Nations. He and his wife lived in many places in Southeast Asia and also in Ethiopia.

Repaired and repainted crack down the length of the vase and across to the side; hairline crack to the foot; the stand has one broken foot.
