Accompanied by a certificate signed by Douglas Allen, Jr. confirming that this is an original drawing by N. C. Wyeth and was purchased in a group of Wyeth originals in 1969 in Massachusetts. Mr. Allen, author of NC Wyeth: The Collected Paintings, Illustrations and Murals (New York: Crown Publishers, 1972), further states that this drawing dates to 1901-1903.
