Two Volumes of Picard's Work on World Religion Translated into English

The Ceremonies and Religious Customs of the Various Nations of the Known World; Together with Historical Annotations, And several Curious Discourses Equally Instructive and Entertaining, Volumes I and V (London: Claude Du Bosc, 1733 & 1736), folios, both full calf with gilt; the first book considers Jewish and Catholic custom, whereas the fifth volume deals with Eastern Orthodox Christianity and Protestantism. These English translations have noticeably fewer illustrations than the French originals.
