Fine William and Mary Marquetry Chest

Mahogany veneers, fruitwood, with light and dark wood inlays, two-over-three graduated drawers, applied molded base raised on turned ball feet, missing one lock, replaced brass hardware, later appropriate feet and other restorations.

Purchased by Miss Boykin from Caledonian Importers of Fine English Furnishings in Illinois. This chest was featured in The Magazine Antiques, June 1987, and a copy of magazine accompanies this lot.
