Two Federal Side Chairs

Circa 1800, mahogany, the first with a straight crest and triple pierced central splat, likely Virginia, slip seat, all four feet have been tipped (37 x 19.5 x 19 in.); the second with a shaped crest rail, pierced splat, slip seat, molded seat rail, straight legs with inside champher, stretcher base, break and repair to upper left style, repair to front of shoe (38 x 21 x 19 in.).
