Depicting a missionary with his wife and a young Chinese boy posed before a closed door, the print laid down on a cabinet card reading "Portraits enlarged to any syze and finished in Oil Watercolor and Crayon (sic)," two stamps on the verso, one stamp reads "Pow-Kee & Co. Photographer Nanking," and the card engraved "H. Salzwedel & Co. Shanghai," further inscribed in pencil on the verso "Received this Photograph / Dec 20th 1892 Present to Carrie."
