The first: rectangular form low tray of carved exotic hardwood, possibly Zitan, with purplish hue and fine graining, the center with carved fan design incorporating pagoda and artist signature (6.75 x 7 7/8 in.) (chip to upper left corner); the second: a Japanese red lacquered rectangular tray with central landscape panel and flaring sides having floral decoration (15.25 x 5.75 in.) (some separation and loss to corners, flaking to red lacquer).
