Thomaston, CT and St. Louis, MO, late 19th century, brass time and strike movement, arched walnut case with three finials, "Fashion" etched across the center of a conforming glass-fronted door, painted tin hour dial with Dec. 28, 1875 patent date, inset seconds dial, similarly constructed date dial below reading SOUTHERN CALENDAR CLOCK CO. / ST. LOUIS, MO. and having a March 18, 1879 patent date, interior Seth Thomas manufacturer's label.
