Allan," inscribed on the verso "Oxford from Iffley" and retaining an old typed label further identifying the scene "Oxford City from Iffley Hill during Eights Week with the crews racing on the river," presented in a period appropriate gilt composition frame. SS 11 1/8 x 18.75 in.; DOA 16.5 x 24.5 in.

Yellowing varnish; some surface grime; minor craquelure; small paint flake with slight "dimple" to sky; no evidence of touch-up visible under black light inspection.
