Large Antique Chinese Ivory Foo Lion

Republic period, circa 1920s, unsigned, tinted highlights, the lower portion of a massive tusk is carved as a male lion resting his paw on a mystery ball while three snarling cubs scamper about, the underside is hollowed out and fitted with a plug. Presented on a custom wooden stand.
