Claude Pritchard, a contemporary of Maxfield Parrish, lived and worked in Charlotte, NC. He was commissioned to produce stamps, calendars, advertisements and even cards for the White House.

Chips and craquelure to upper right corner; some buckling along vertical streaks in the painting's right half; a .5 x 1.5 in. strip of flaking black paint in the field.
