Three pieces including a teapot with Chinaman figural finial (8.25 in.); sugar bowl with cover featuring greyhound finial; and cream jug with hinged cover with exotic figural finial. Each of pear form with lobed and foliate decorated neck and domed cover; each with naturalistic branch form handle, the teapot spout also of branch form, the cream jug with mask form spout. Each engraved "Presented to / Capt. Charles Barton / by owners of / Bark Florence / 1855." Each with "Gorham & Co. / Providence, RI / Coin" hallmark (no. 11 in Carpenter's book).
