Caswell County, circa 1845-1855, mahogany, mahogany veneers, white pine and poplar secondary, having a shallow cornice over a plain frieze veneered with figured mahogany, above two solid doors with floating panels, these are over-laid at the top with scalloped corner pieces, the case raised on a scalloped bracket foot base.

This wardrobe is accompanied by a letter from the late Pat Marshall of the NC Museum of History stating this to be the work of the Thomas Day shop.
Cornice molding likely a later addition; hinges and lock replaced.
