Silk on hand-painted canvas, signed at lower right "T. Willis," the three-masted schooner with numerous sailors and flying an American flag, presented under glass in the original shadowbox frame.

The verso retains old tape from J. P. Bell Co. of Lynchburg, VA. Their branch telephone is listed as 2527, indicating a likely framing date of 1915-1920.

Fading to silks; some minor loss to frame corners.
