Carved Ivory Vishnu and Consort

The figures appear to be dancing, the god portrayed with a cobra coiled around his headpiece as well as draped from his arm and chest, raised on a hardwood plinth.

Figural 7 5/8 in.; HOA 10 in.

The lotus blossom held by the consort was carved separately and attached; examination with black light reveals no repairs; no chips or loss noted.
