Two Mughal Paintings

Each of gouache and gilt on paper; the first depicting a young noblewoman with elaborate jewelry standing in a doorway (SS 9.25 x 7.5 in.; DOA 15.25 x 12 5/8 in.); the second an unusual depiction of a seated woman with elaborate dress against a red wall (SS 9.75 x 8 in.; DOA 16 x 13.75 in.); each matted and framed under glass and retaining a Chemould of New Delhi label on the verso.
