Federal Inlaid Dressing Mirror

Possibly Massachusetts, figured mahogany veneers over white pine, the shield shaped glass, which tilts, has a mahogany frame highlighted by barber pole inlay and is supported by gently curved uprights, the serpentine base features three drawers each banded in light wood veneer raised on replaced bracket feet.

Old appropriate but later glass; small area of inlay loss to edge of base. The facing of the drawers is original, however the drawers have been re-built in the 20th c., with later ogee feet.
