Circa 1920s, wool foundation and pile with central medallion on blue field and allover floral design on a brick field, navy leaf and vine spandrels and floral and vine guard border, very densely knotted.

With letter to consignor stating the carpet was owned originally by the late H.H. Topakyan, former Persian Consul-General to the United States.
With low pile and some surface loss; with knot loss to one end and stitched to secure, areas of wear to weft; possible rewoven end; possible early repairs.
