George III Serpentine Chest of Drawers

Late 18th century, figured mahogany and mahogany veneers with oak and pine secondary woods, the shaped top with angular stiles inlaid with tiger maple and having concave returns, four graduated cock-beaded drawers, raised on a bracket foot base.

39 x 47 x 22 in.

Interior with 3/4 dustboards; retains original escutcheons and locks.

Replaced hardware; hairline to back rear foot; two small patches in foot area; several veneer hairlines.
