London (1743) hallmarks, tapered cylindrical form with ribbing to to body and above slightly spreading base, the hinged and domed cover with scrolled thumbpiece, the handle with heart form terminus. The body, cover, and handle all struck with a "RB" sponsor's mark in script - possibly that for Richard Bayley.
