Circa 1900, rectangular hardwood frames with inset lacquered panels, the front with stone inlays depicting scholar's items and floral arrangements, the verso with carved and painted decoration of family and scholar genre scenes divided into three panels, early brass pin hinges. Each panel 69 x 17.75 in.; LOA 126 in.

Equally attractive decoration to both sides of the screen.

Shows evidence of once being part of a larger screen with filled hinge cuts to both end panels; cracks and some loss to lacquer.
