Japanese Vanity Chest with Mirror

Two part form, also known as Kyodai, from the Showa or Taisho era constructed of lacquered Japanese Kiri wood. Kyodai were built to be knelt in front of but would function equally as well on a table top. Historically used to store jewelry, cosmetics and small personal items.
