Oil pastel on paper, signed and dated at lower right "R. Ausleger '26," tabletop still life, presented under glass in a contemporary gilt frame.

This painting was completed not long after Ausleger joined ranks with the "Novembergruppe" and adopted a Synthetic Cubist syle. As he was labeled a "degenerate" painter by the Nazis, many of his works were destroyed before and during WWII.
