Elliott Daingerfield (NC/NY, 1859-1932), Allegory

Oil on canvas (lined), signed at lower right "Elliott Daingerfield," allegorical scene with religious tones depicts a Madonna figure cradling a child on her lap while another young child with a pennant extends a bunch of grapes, a white rabbit in the lower right floral strewn ground watches the scene, the entire tableaux set against a twilight landscape with white temple on a rise above.
