Oil on canvas (lined), signed at lower left "Geo McConnell," presented in an antique style gilt frame with acorn design and linen liner.

McConnell studied landscape painting with George Inness and later at the Academy Julien in Paris. Upon his return from France, he settled in Portland, Maine. His White Mountain landscapes, like this painting, are among his most coveted.
