Alamance County Redware Plate, circa 1800

North Carolina, lead glazed earthenware with orange ground body having white and manganese slip decoration. The plate is centered with a foliate motif surrounded by a border showing Alamance County influence in the three part stylized grass design and the repeating use of a single petal with dots.
