Attributed to Alamance County, first half 19th century, yellow pine six-board case with dove-tailed construction, original old surface of a red field with central initials "MH" in a cartouche surrounded by scattered stylized tulips and Moravian symbols with triple line border. The case has a covered left hand till, strap hinges, and remnants of antique wallpaper to the underside of the lid, supported by an applied bracket foot base.
