French Bronze Dolphin Planter

Circa 1900, bronze and copper, oval planter (with removable copper liner) is cast with acanthus leaf decoration to the body and entwined dolphins at the base. The planter is affixed to a large copper-rimmed platter having a mirrored surface.

DOA 8 x 22 x 13 in.

A unique and highly decorative centerpiece.

Later mirror; split to liner at solder joint as well as minor pitting.
