Mid-Atlantic, circa 1840, figured maple and mahogany veneers, the figured maple top with applied mahogany edge, the upper slightly projecting drawer is supported by fully turned Corinthian columns and opens to a divided interior, (the prospect inlaid with an unusual fireplace motif, over two drawers), the case raised on robustly carved front paw feet.
