(Japanese-American, 1905-1990), with convex shaped top, 1 1/8 in thick, on cross formed base (Minguren I). The top composed of a beautiful single highly figured walnut board. Nakashima's balance between art-form, everyday use and respect for the beauty in nature can be seen by the use of the figured board and simple design of this Minguren I table. Unsigned, customer name "Levy" in black on bottom.

Purchased in the 1960s and the mid 1970s directly from George Nakashima, the furnishings were a prized possession and the centerpiece for many family dinners and festive occasions.
