Oil on canvas (lined), three-quarter length portrait of a gentleman in brown embroidered coat, cravat, and wig; inscribed at the lower right "Rowland Eyre Esq.," inscribed on the verso "Rusel. Pinxt" and retaining two old paper labels - one attributing the painting to the Kneller School and the other reading "Belonging to the Eyre Family."
