The helmet of leather construction with applied brass elements, the interior dated 1883. The wappen oddly lacks the characteristic "FR" on its breast. Crazed leather, no liner, chinstrap belt split, spike and other brass elements cleaned, polished, and possibly not original to the helmet; plus Prussian cap, blue felt with red band. (Loose stitching along one side of visor and into the sweatband, some mothing to crown.)
