.69 caliber percussion smoothbore, 42 in. barrel, 57 in. LOA, walnut stock, lock marked with HARPERS / FERRY / 1851 and eagle over U S, rear of barrel with VP mark, US on butt plate tang, stock soldier-carved "DREHER 1863" under the butt plate.

Replacement ramrod; upper sling swivel absent; hairline on left side of stock; pitting around nipple from heavy use; decent metallic surfaces overall.
