Japanese, late Edo period, colors and ink on silk, signed and sealed by Ryuko Kano Tani on the lower side of the paintings, with original wooden tomobako storage box.

The Kano school was the most influential and longest lasting school of painting in Japanese history.

Excellent condition; very slight scratch at top of one scroll and two thin vertical black marks towards bottom; very slight foxing in places on each.
