Or a contemporary of equal ability, New York, circa 1810-1830, mahogany and mahogany veneers, white pine secondary, having a single board top with shaped leaves utilizing double butterfly supports. The skirt is highlighted with bands of lightwood inlay and gilded acorn drops, raised on a quadruped base with fine acanthus carving, a central gilded pineapple carving accents the four supports. On casters (replaced).

Both leaves with edge repairs at hinge; mahogany blocks set with later screws and may themselves be of later date.
