The first an oval form footed center bowl with acanthus and shell scroll mouth raised on a conforming pedestal foot, engraved "1871 / 1896" on front, with Gorham hallmarks and 1895 date symbol (5 x 11 x 6.75 in.; 21.1 troy oz..); the second piece an oval tray in the "Chippendale" pattern (15.5 in.; 25.75 troy oz..).
